Psalm 71 - A Song of Deliverance on the Harp

...Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.

Selah Psalm 32:7

Today's song is a song of deliverance, found in Psalm 71:19-20. It is in times of great and sore troubles that we must truly praise Him. I'm sure you've heard this before, but I came to realize that we don't praise in order to gain deliverance from the troubles, but we praise Him because He is so great that He alone is able to deliver us from the troubles, and no one else can do that. We praise His great ability, and not out of selfish motive. I encourage you to praise Him with a pure heart; for Who is like unto Him?

Surround yourself with reminders of His great ability to deliver, and that will fill your heart with praise!
