What says comfort to you more than anything else? There are many things that provide temporary and false comfort in this world, but nothing that brings lasting comfort to a troubled heart like the words of God. I have learned this truth with all my heart and want to share it with you!
As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you...
Isaiah 66:13
Make it your first response to turn to the Word of God for comfort in your troubles, for it's there you have the promise of His comfort, and there it is that through His Word, He will extend peace to you like a gentle river. (Isaiah 66:12)
And that is what brings us to today's song that was inspired by Isaiah 66:12-13.
I hope it comforts your heart and also inspires you to draw closer to God in your trials so that you may find everlasting peace and comfort.
